The Design of Fiber Optics Communication Line Plan and Profile project involved Smoky Hill Engineering providing planning and design support for over 60 miles of fiber optics communication line in the southeast Denver metro area. Our team expertly navigated the complexities of designing and installing the fiber optic line through public Right of Way and private easements, ensuring minimal disturbance to existing conditions.
Location
The project spanned across the southeast Denver metro area, including Douglas County, Elbert County, the City of Aurora, the Town of Parker, and the E-470 Corridor. This vast coverage required careful planning and coordination to successfully implement the fiber optics communication line.
What We Did
Smoky Hill Engineering played a vital role in the planning and design of the fiber optics communication line. Our responsibilities included designing the plan and profile, coordinating subsurface utility engineering (SUE), producing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) plans, and supporting the client in obtaining permits from various AHJs. The fiber optic line installation was conducted through directional drilling, ensuring minimal disturbance to the existing environment.
